n a matter of just five days, two women were transported by ambulance from Near North: Elizabeth Cohn Morris Health Center Planned Parenthood, located at 1200 North La Salle Drive in Chicago. The calls were made within a five-day period, and both emergencies were due to a woman hemorrhaging after undergoing an abortion.
The majority of post-surgical abortion hemorrhages are due to internal injuries inflicted by surgical instruments, often laceration of the cervix and perforation of the uterus. Many women have lost their lives as a result of uterine perforation. See Operation Rescue’s 24-page archive of documented abortion related maternal deaths.

A call was made by an employee of this Chicago Planned Parenthood to 911 on January 20, 2023, at 1:34 p.m. to report that a 29-year-old woman was experiencing urgent, heavy bleeding after an abortion.
Though not necessary, the caller thought it was important to specifically request a stretcher. Her request confirms the woman was in no condition to exit the building in any other way.
Another post-abortion hemorrhage was reported to 911 at 12:33 on January 25, 2023. The circumstances were eerily similar to the 911 call made just five days before. It also involved a 29-year-old woman who was experiencing post-procedure hemorrhaging described as “vaginal bleeding” after a “pregnancy termination.”
Both emergencies were serious enough to necessitate emergency transport to a nearby hospital.
This Planned Parenthood performs surgical abortions up to 22 weeks gestation and has a long history causing injuries such as dangerous life-threatening uterine perforations that require emergency transport and follow-up hospitalization. Information about previous injuries are found here.
“The abortionists at this high-volume Planned Parenthood continue to butcher women in the process of violently killing their precious, innocent babies,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The more babies they can kill, the more blood money flows into their pockets. The suffering experienced by mothers is just a by-product of increasing their profit.”
