No Gurney: Barely Able to Walk, Planned Parenthood Patient is Lifted into Ambulance

Silver Spring, MD – An ambulance was called to the Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. in Silver Spring, Maryland, on February 25, 2016, for an African-American female who appeared hardly able to walk.

No gurney was used to aid the woman, who was in obvious pain. She walked out to the ambulance under the assistance of emergency responders and was partially lifted into the side door of the ambulance.

Long-time pro-life activist Dick Retta provided Operation Rescue with photographs he took at the time of the incident.

The 911 recording obtained by Operation Rescue was so heavily redacted by the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service that it shed little light on the patient’s condition and why she was not helped out of the Planned Parenthood office on a gurney.

A distracted Planned Parenthood employee, who identified herself as Johnice, seemed barely able to understand the 911 dispatcher, who was trying to ascertain the patient’s condition and what had happened to her.

Johnice did note that the woman who was transported by ambulance had her mother with her inside the Planned Parenthood office.

“Planned Parenthood likes to brag about providing ‘high quality healthcare,’ but the reality is that many women who walk into Planned Parenthood leave in the back of an ambulance,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Medical emergencies are occurring at Planned Parenthood centers and other abortion businesses all over the country at an alarming frequency, as documented by Operation Rescue.

“Unfortunately, at Planned Parenthood, women are expected to just accept without question shoddy services that could endanger their lives. Women deserve better than that and their babies deserve better than that,” said Newman. “It’s time for America to see Planned Parenthood for the predatory, corners-cutting, profit-driven, organization it really is.”
