Aurora, Illinois – An ambulance was called for a seriously injured woman at the Aurora Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Aurora, Illinois, on November 16, 2019.
“We’ll need a stretcher,” a Planned Parenthood employee told the 911 dispatcher at the beginning of the 911 call recording.
The recording and a brief printout related to the 911 call was provided to Operation Rescue by the Pro-Life Action League.
The Planned Parenthood worker noted that the patient began to hemorrhage during a “procedure” –Planned Parenthood’s nomenclature for a surgical abortion – and was unconscious.
It takes a blood loss of about 30-40 percent of total blood volume before a person will lose consciousness.
When asked if the patient was breathing the Planned Parenthood caller hesitantly responded, “I – I believe she is.”
For 48 seconds during the call, there appeared to be some delay and perhaps confusion about Planned Parenthood’s phone number that was requested by the 911 dispatcher.
“This sounded like a very serious abortion-related emergency,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “We know women have died from blood loss, and it appears that this woman was bleeding out. We hope she made it, but honestly, there is no way to know at this time without further information. But one thing in clear: abortions at this Planned Parenthood facility are not safe.”
This is the fourth known time in twelve months that an ambulance has been called to the Aurora Planned Parenthood, a 22,000 square-foot abortion facility that cost $7.5 million to build. The construction was done in 2006-2007 in secret under an assumed name.
