39-Year-Old Woman Suffers Seizure
Eastpointe, Michigan – It was rumored that criminal abortionist Martin Ruddock was fired from Eastland Women’s Clinic in Eastpointe, Michigan, after multiple abortions were botched in February 2022. However, according to Pro-Life Action League, it was recently revealed through a Freedom of Information Act request that he died of cancer last May.
In addition to the countless innocent lives he violently ended, Ruddock had a habit of breaking the law. A criminal complaint filed against him in Michigan included charges that he administered sedation without a valid federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license. It also included information about a criminal conviction for assault during a road rage incident, as well as subsequent psychiatric treatment.
As a result of the complaint and state investigation, the Michigan Board of Medicine and Board of Pharmacy fined him $1,500, and the Board of Pharmacy also issued a formal reprimand.
“According to sidewalk advocates who came into contact with Ruddock, the gospel of Christ was offered to him many times by the pro-lifers of Flint and Eastpointe,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “It is not surprising that this killing center that employed him is still injuring women a year after his death.”
On the morning of March 11, less than a year after Ruddock’s death, an employee of Eastland Women’s Clinic called 911 to request an ambulance for a 39-year-old woman suffering from a seizure while in the surgical abortion facility’s recovery room.

We do not know if this woman had a history of epilepsy or if the seizure was caused by complications from the surgical abortion just undergone, drugs used to minimize blood loss, or because of another form of negligence.
We do know this reckless abortion facility has a history of causing serious harm to mothers. Past documented emergencies include life-threatening uterine perforation and hemorrhages, as well as opioid overdose.
Problems related to narcotics have been ongoing at this crime-ridden killing center. In May of last year, an employee of the clinic called 911 to report that 183 vials of the dangerous drug, Fentanyl, were stolen. The employee refused to cooperate and withheld information about the theft during the 911 call.
Eastland has failed inspection and been exposed for failing to report child rape, as required by law. A woman also accused the clinic of performing an abortion on her without her permission, and another instance was reported of a patient being placed in the waiting room with only a paper gown covering her.
The employees have established a pattern of asking 911 dispatchers to pull into the alley behind the facility, out of customer and passersby view, to retrieve the women requiring immediate emergency intervention.
According to Operation Rescue’s most recent annual survey, this Michigan abortion facility performs abortions up to 24 weeks gestation. It increased its gestational limit from 18 to 24 weeks – now killing babies six weeks further into their gestational development and placing women at an increased risk of dangerous complications.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned last June, a 1931 abortion ban was revived in Michigan. But in November, citizens of the state voted to enshrine the right to abortion in its state constitution.
Currently, abortion is legally permitted in the state of Michigan until the living in utero infant has reached the age of “viability.” See Operation Rescue’s updated map revealing each state’s legal gestational age limits.
“The evidence is continuing to mount against this blood-thirsty abortion mill that continues to kill innocent, growing babies while placing women at grave risk in the process,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The mere fact that it employed a criminal like Martin Ruddock only emphasizes what kind of a reprehensible establishment it is.
“The blood of all these precious Michigan babies is on the hands, not only of evil abortionists like the late Martin Ruddock, and his successor who continues to perform these gruesome murders, but it is also on the hands of the citizens who voted in favor of amending Michigan’s constitution last year.”
